Job Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:

Directs the preparation of customer’s electric bills, verifying correct rate schedules, bill calculations, penalties, and account balances. Maintain customer information system database integrity and provide technical support to employees who use the Cooperative’s NISC iVUE platform. 

  • Produce pre-billing reports for monthly electric bills, delinquent charges, and weekly refund checks.
  • Support the Member Service Department on all issues related to billing, payment posting, and iVue software applications. Provide backup to the Member Accounts Clerk as needed.
  • Develop operating procedures for new NISC iVUE programs.
  • Provide training for Member Service Representatives on new programs and software.
  • Develop monthly schedules for generating bill files, due dates, and delinquent notices. Create a calendar for use by Member Service Representatives and our after-hours contact center, the Cooperative Response Center.
  • Provide the Cooperative Response Center with all updates and information necessary for their after-hours agents to handle customer calls.
  • Produce Member deposit refund checks weekly and create corresponding reports.
  • Oversee Member registration at the Coastal Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees with the guidance of Human Resources; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.
  • Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • All other job-related duties assigned by management.

 


Job Qualifications:

Proficient with Window-based PC applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.  Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in computer related field.  Must be able to learn the NISC iVUE propriety customer information systems platform and TWACS remote electric meter reading software.  Ability to operate basic office equipment. Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and other work related documents.  Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, along with verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to senior staff and other small groups.  Must have and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license, as use of a company vehicle may be required for this job.
